Consulting
I spend most of my time working for the Mozilla Foundation, the organisation which oversees the Mozilla project, and I love it, but I could be lured away temporarily to do interesting projects for other people.
As a long-time Bugzilla developer, I am available for Bugzilla-related work such as installation, support and training. I also have in-depth knowledge of the open source/free software world and how it works, and many years experience "managing" (although I don't like using that word) online communities. So if your company is planning to release software as open source, I can advise on how to maximise the chances of building a successful and durable community around it.
The first and last time I formally applied for a job was just after university, using an application form - so I've never needed to write a resumé. But you probably wouldn't be hiring me on the basis of the exams I passed anyway (or my design skills, as this site demonstrates). The best way to learn more about me is to read this website and my blog - or to email and ask.
I am based in London, UK, but am willing to travel. I can work remotely, although I feel relationships work best with at least some face-to-face contact.
As a Christian, you will find that I strive to work as if for the Lord and not for men, which means I am diligent, honest and straightforward. My responsibility to act in a way which pleases God is a stronger bond than any contract. In an IT world of self-serving consultants, projects with hidden slippage and general incompetence and dishonesty, I offer this guarantee: if I lie to you, you can cancel the contract and have a full refund. I can't promise that things won't go wrong; but if they do, I won't hide it.
